Welcome to the Maharaja City Palace complex in Jaipur. These are the largest silver objects in the world. See silver urns as big as a room, the biggest silver objects in the world. At the City Palace complex, Rambaugh Palace now a hotel run by Taj Hotels. The former home of the Maharajas of Jaipur is now a hotel, but the palace grounds, quite extensive, are part museum, part living quarters for some of the family.
We see the biggest silver urns ever made. The Maharaja who ruled in the late 1800's had them made from coins and silver jewelry melted down to create giant urns to contain fresh water. He travelled to London to attend the coronation of King Edward VII. in England in 1902, and did not trust the cleanliness of european water. Now they are exhibit pieces. Luckily!
Enjoy,
