Destination: India Diary. On the way to Agra Welcome to meet the Taj Mahal, New Delhi to AgraOh! Train Travel in India. Today we travel from Old Delhi to Agra by train. This is quite an experience.

We were informed about the craziness on the platform but seeing is believing. Everything from people to sheep, needs transportation. We have a ticket in one of the more spacious compartments. We travel with fellow tourists and hear about their experiences and adventures.

Then we arrive in Agra in the late afternoon. We are picked up and taken to the back side of the Taj Mahal, just in time for the sun set.

The sky is purple, there in the near distance lies the Taj. Silent and majestic.

We enjoy the moment before dusk takes over. The river is flowing silently. We are left to our own thoughts. I hadn't imagined it so huge and impressive. I can't wait for tomorrow when we will see it in full splendor.

The driver takes us to our hotel, we rest, tomorrow will be a very early start.
