Event to Attend! Magic at the Phoenix Art Museum. Resort fashion is pure magic. After the colorful well presented retrospective about the fashions of Giorgio St. Angelo, Dennita Sewell, curator of fashion design at the Phoenix Art Museum, has a great next exhibition for us to enjoy, The Sea.

The allure of the Ocean, our fascination with nautical themes and Resort wear and above all the adventure of seafaring.

Perfect! Already can’t wait to see it. Don’t miss this one. May be we will run into each other at the museum.

Location: Phoenix Art Museum, Ellman Fashion Design Gallery
starting March 3 - July 15, 2012

A few words about the just closed retrospective of Italian born fashion designer Giorgio di Sant’Angelo.

It was exhilarating to see the exuberance of colors, the bold designs expressed in modern stretch fabrics. The flamboyant designs for the divas of the stage in the 1960s, 70s, and 1980s.

His work had the perfect backdrop in the strong sun light of the desert, the deep hues of the desert colors, as di Sant’Angelo was inspired by the colors of the American Indians, and South American cultures.

If you missed the Georgio di Sant’Angelo exhibit you don’t want to miss, The Sea. Make time to be swept away by adventure and color, designs by Emanual Ungaro, Emilio Pucci, Karl Lagerfeld…
