Resort fashion from the quintessential Resort location: GOA, India. India Resort Fashion Week was held in Goa at the fabulous Grand Hyatt. In my last post I talked about some of the designers. This time I like to introduce fashion designer Anupamaa Dayal.
Her Resort Wear collection was a stunning array of colors. Bright aqua, turqoise, tangerine, shocking pink, citron, lime, all shades of sorbet.
Her collection is called Sherbet. In her own words: “Mixed, shaken and stirred to present a deliciously refreshing cocktail worthy of a sunset in Goa.” (quote by Anupama Dayal)
You have seen some pictures of her creations on my Home page. I love her creations, the sheer precious fabrics, silks, chiffon, crepe de Chine, and the colors, the styles. You must see for yourself.
I also liked the unusual make up of the models. She was inspired to mix western with Indian styles, and finding what works best for a hot climate. Kaftans, long tops, Maxi dresses, and Saree inspired combinations that have a wrap style.
Her collections, Anupamaa, are sold very successfully not just in India, but across the U.S., Europe, the Emirates, the South East and Australia.
