Yogamagic rustique gem amidst the fields. Welcome to Yoga Magic, Anjuna, North Goa. We arrive at Yoga Magic for a relaxing time. This is a very hot time of the year, a real heat wave we are told.

We are greeted by a bowl of orange marigolds and fragrant white frangipani flowers in the bath area. (this is one of the indian customs I really like and will take with me home, greetings of flowers, upon entering a house.)

We stay in Rajastani tents set under thatched huts in the middle of fields. The tents look beautiful. Like stepping back in time, on a safari, out in the Indian out back.

The tent, under the thatched hut is surrounded by a fragrant garden with flowers blooming Fangipani trees, Geranium trees, tropical flowers I had never seen before. I close my eyes and just experience the smells and fragrance surrounding me.
Now I begin to understand the motivation of Jean Claude Ellena, the wonderfully gifted perfume creator of Hermès to create, Un Jardin après la Mousson, after the scent impressions on his travels, this particular scent from his experiences after traveling to the countryside in India.
The perfume "Un jardin après la Mousson", sets you standing in a garden in India, with the fragrance of flowers after the rain of the monsoon has cleared the air. I can smell the geranium in the perfume just now, at that moment, as I am standing in front of our tent in the garden at Yogamagic. I can see a very large Geranium very close.
The tents are set in a large garden where the vegetables and fruits we are served in the dining area are grown. The food is prepared by local women in sarees after Ayurvedic principles. Fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurt sweetened with honey, at lunch salads and grilled vegetables. We will eat well here.
