Old is new again for Dior Fall 2012 inspirations for Raf Simons' collections.
Dior Couture Fall/Winter 2012 Show. More from the Dior 2012 Couture collection... Raf Simons’ understanding of the lines of the New Look collection is very evident, his interpretation, giving this collection a certain restraint with his design gestures, interpreting each Look in a very modern way.
The gowns, the red gown, the long yellow gown, with their reduced lines, are so very modern, at the same time very New Look. The modern, reduced design of the bust, extending the line to the sleeves is pure Raf Simons.

The Mayfair dress, of the collection 1955/56, the modern lines of the black dress, a plunging neckline, with a wide black lacquer belt. Raf Simons’ interpretation, a black coat and a red coat with the wide metal belt and very large pockets with flaps that create the wide hip look.
