Roberto Cavalli's Spring 2013 collection is bursting with colors and subtle references to Bella Italia. These patterns remind me of some tiles found in and on buildings at the Amalfi coast in Southern Italy.
Designs inspired by local classical patterns and the natural landscape; cascading Bouganvilla, Lilies and other flowers. Dreaming of Positano and Ravello. Seeing these designs also made me think of Versace and his exuberant design language. I can see some of the inspiration from Positano in some of Versace's designs. May be this is Roberto Cavalli's subtle homage to Versace.
Seeing these dresses brightens my soul and brings Spring home. The classic cut allows the patterns to be fully appreciated. The figure hugging style flatters your body. Wearing such a dress just makes you feel beautiful.
Enjoy,
Jasmin
