Faux Fur and Leather Exciting Fall Textures, Be in Touch with your wild animal within.
So many designers showed Faux Fur and leather in very creative ways. No. 21 had a wild jacket cover that functioned like a cross between a jacket and shawl made of long shag fibers that looked as if they had come straight from the Himalayas. Looked just like the goat. A west with long curly hairs of the Wild Tibetan Lamb could be a favorite for in between seasons.
Diesel and Mulberry used large soft lamb curl faux fur as accents on top of wool jackets and sweaters. Gucci impressed with wild colors, bright purple furry collars or long hair fur jackets in curry over skirts and blouses in dark berry colors.
At Max Mara I saw grey (hopefully faux?) mink as an understudy to textured fabric.
A large chunk of fur, almost a half skirt over a grey wool coat, fastened kilt-like with a large leather strap and a buckle. It reminded me of a fur kilt worn over a wool coat. Other coats in classic boxy shapes with large pockets on the hips, had a dufle coat feel, another one with a large belt was collarless.
Hakaan, Boss Black, Aquilano Rimondi, and others all used fur as collars, leather bands, ties as accents, for jackets, or draped over dresses or skirts. All paired with skirts or wide flowing pants, together with coarse weave structured wools. This is a look that can be easily recreated with existing pieces of your wardrobe.
Integrate, Recreate, Have Fun with your Fall Looks!
Enjoy,
Jasmin
