Now
The allure of the feminine form is timeless. Classical beauty in an intimate setting in the 1970s, no doubt inspired by this Neoclassical painting of a woman in her boudoir? The outfit, the pose, mysterious and sensual. The photographer's inspiration was immediately apparent to me. I really would like to wear something like that one day.

Then
The Neoclassical painting La Grande Odalisque by Jean-Auguste Dominique Ingres in 1814, (Louvre, Paris) is still as alluring today as when it was first seen in the 19th Century.
The photographer created a connection to span the centuries through the same allure of classical feminine beauty, a similar pose, just as beautiful, just as alluring.
Enjoy,
Jasmin
