A bright Star is sparkling even brighter at the fashion firmament. Awards just keep coming. I love it! After receiving the Harper’s Bazaar Woman of the Year Awards 2012, and British Designer of the year in London, Stella Mc Cartney received not just 1 but 2 BAFTA awards, by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
In addition to being named British Fashion designer of the Year by the British Fashion Council, and receiving 2 awards at the British Fashion Awards event, one for Designer of the Year 2012, and Designer Brand Award, she started the New Year 2013 by being named, “Officer of the Order of the British Empire” in the2013 New Year Honours List.
Receiving an OBE at The Queen’s New Years Honorsin London for services to the British Fashion industry, Stella Mc Cartney, OBE, is indeed living up to her celestial name, by being the brightest shining Star on the British Fashion firmament.
British Fashion’s bright star has designed some outstanding, beautiful, feminine, and sporty collections for Spring 2011, 2012 and Spring 2013, all with a nod to fashion of the late1950s, 80s, 70s and respectively.
She designed striking outfits for the British Olympic team at the London Olympics, based conceptually on the colors and stripes of the British flag, the Union Jack.
I would like to honor Stella Mc Cartney by showing some highlights of her Spring 2013 Resort and Spring 2012 collections. Collections that display excellent workmanship and emphasize the feminine body.
Enjoy,
Jasmin
