Coachella! It is Spring, fun, festive, art, go with the flow, flirt, and above all sounds. The music, the stages, the vibe, fashion. The palm trees and the grass are contrast and back drop to the white tents, the stages, the fair atmosphere at the Empire Polo Field in Indio. Meandering among the venue is a feast for the senses.
So many things stood out from the crowd. A feel of Haute Hippie inspired Looks mingled with “Coachella” street style. I felt right at home, even tough I am past my twenties.
Coachella Looks can be fun, without the Cliché or veering toward Costumy. I felt happy to see more imagination for color this year. The embroidered jeans skirt by LoveShackFancy is very young. The SFA Spring Portfolio is on trend.
Still too many cut-off jeans shorts without a top that looks coherent, good fashion gone bad. Also, flowers are hot in different places other than on the head. Lot’s of Bandanas and scarves wrapped up as a turban, it had an interesting feel of Marrakesh meets India at Coachella.
Short white Lace or thin Gauze or Crepon dresses felt very young. Black lace bras or tops under cover ups in folklore design or geometric print looked new and sexy. Liked the crochet dresses over a bikini or shorts. Tassel pendant jewelry on long chains. I felt as if I was back on St. Bart. Styles I saw on the island a few weeks ago married well with Coachella breezy fresh mix of sheer fabric lace and leather.

Haute Hippie inspired Looks on display similar to this vignette from SFA El Paseo. The Coachella vignette had an Ethno Feel with a whiff of 70s.
Ripped jeans were everywhere, with an Off-the-Shoulder blouse, either with ruffles, or ethno print it could be street style. SFA El Paseo showed colorful wrap tops with short shorts, airy breezy white dresses with lace panels, the pink DVF dress that embodied her 70s Look with a color and pattern mix, like the flirty ruffle. The blouse by Calypso St. Bart reminded me of traditional embroidery of Hungary. Very 70s.
The wide leg pants with stripes mixed with a halter top have a casual feel.

Coachella Looks can be so fun, without the Cliché. I felt happy to see more imagination for color this year, yet still too many cut-off jeans shorts, with a top that looked incoherent. Also, flowers are hot in different places, other than on the head.
The black dress with the India inspired tassels is my Fav.
Of course fringe is still so present. I liked the SET moto jacket with a long fringe along the arms, paired with a short black slip dress is spot on for now. The YSL fringe boots, or a fringe bag, are hot with a dress in sheer fabric. A look that feels more like a hot Summer, just as yummy as a cool Mohito.
The Popsugar Tent was my oasis for rest and a chat amidst the beautiful spots of the Empire Polo Field venue. Surrounded by white breezy fabric, I squinted and felt as if I was back on one of my favorite islands.
