Nice to be back at Sunnylands after a Summer in another desert, in exciting and colorful, but hot and dusty Morocco.
It felt comfortingly familiar to come back to Sunnylands, one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours in the garden at the Visitor’s Center, here in Rancho Mirage. In a few days it will be Dias de los Muertos.
Sunnyland’s garden will be decorated with cheerful celebrations to honor the dead. Several Ofrendas with cheeky reference to the dearly departed, will be presented. Altars with items to remember the departed, objects they liked, silk flowers, candles, and Calaveras.
Skulls made from sugar paste, painted and adorned with sparkly sequins. We look forward to walk along the walkway in the garden, stop at the Ofrendas, join the celebrations with sweets, cheers, lights, and good wishes.
Come to Sunnylands garden in the next few days, join the party. No Reservation necessary. Remember some of your family members who are no longer here, with joy in your heart and smiles, as you walk along the path of Remembrance.
Best,
Jasmin
