My cheeky word game, for the magnificent Show. Dior collections Fall/Winter 2012 held during this past Paris Fashion Week, called the Show of 1 Million flowers. And what a show it was. This is why I have been so impressed with this show.
It just took my breath away, seeing the pictures. Not just the fabulous décor, but also the collection spoke to me on many levels. The thought of creating a modern abstract flower maze in a gorgeous 19th Century apartment in Paris, is amazing. The colors and fragrance, the monolithic shapes, the sheer height and magnitude of creating walls of flowers. I like the beauty of the symbolism, this could be a décor for a wedding, the feminine beauty of the flowers…
All created with the skillful creative floral team of Emmanuel Delangle, of Fleur Delangle. Do see the video posted courtesy of Emmanuel Delangle. It is fun to watch, just the logistics of such an endevor.
The picture shows just a small glimpse of the beauty of the installation. More about the collection and my thoughts, about why I find the presentation and this new collection for Dior so exciting.
Enjoy,
Jasmin
