When I think about the Amalfi coast the whiff of lemon and blooming Jasmine flowers linger in my memory. Dolce & Gabbana's Spring collection is a festival of opulence and Joie de Vivre, à l'Italiana.

Flowers, lots of roses, tamed by black and white stripes, gold, lots of gold, cheeky references to traditional costumes of Southern Italy, the patterns seem to float, and overwhelm our senses.

The crazy patterned crop pants from My EDIT with the demure white off-the-shoulder blouse bring Sorrento everywhere I go, if I walk along the shops at El Paseo or in Miami. The round blue D&C sun glasses look crazy fun.

The Pattern of tiles, or a wall fresco, I remember seeing in Portofino, found their way into patterns for fabric. Some patterns seem to be hand painted on coarse cotton Toile. A tile becomes the canvas for a bag, or a skirt. Decorative elements, beads added to shoes celebrate the Joy of Spring, they awaken our senses, they make me smile.

Can there ever be to much joy? This exuberant collection shows just how much I have missed bright color, to dress with blue, aqua, orange, red, shades of green, after way too much black, grey and camel in the Winter.
